There are fun ways to bring in more reading at home. Use the internet (with parent supervision) to search for items of interest, email family, or create a family web page. Your children will be reading and writing without realizing the amount of time spent. Magazines, easier books, cereal boxes, game directions, and signs are all great ways to get reluctant readers to read. You can also take turns reading. Your child can read the first paragraph or sentence from each page and then follow along as you read the rest of the page.
