The Colby School District serves over 1,000 students living throughout the communities of Colby, Dorchester and Unity. These families live in townships, cities and villages that are within the Colby School District including City of Abbotsford, City and Town of Colby, Town of Brighton, Village of Dorchester, Town of Frankfurt, Town of Green Grove, Town of Holton, Town of Hull, Town of Mayville, Village and Town of Unity.
Within our communities, we have beautiful parks with playgrounds for youngsters and open green spaces for picnics . Colby is the birthplace of Colby cheese. A historical marker is located downtown commemorating Joseph Steinwand for the development of Colby cheese in the 1880s.
The School District is proud to offer community swim classes through our Community Education Program. This program teaches hundreds of our youth life saving water skills.
